WATCH: Former champion nearly breaks his legs on WWE show due to a botched move
Former RAW Tag Team Champion Cedric Alexander nearly suffered a catastrophic injury on the latest episode of WWE NXT. He botched a move during a match and almost injured his leg.
The 35-year-old star wrestled Wes Lee during the show. This was his first singles match since the July 30, 2024, episode of the black and silver brand, which saw him defeat Brooks Jensen. Two weeks ago, Alexander teamed up with Je'Von Evans and they challenged Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team Championship, but were unsuccessful.
During Alexander's recent match against Wes Lee, the former tried to hit The Kardiak Kid with a summersault plancha to the floor, but he botched the move and landed awkwardly on his legs. He was visibly in pain and was holding his knee after the botch. The referee immediately left the ring and went to check up on Cedric.

The two WWE stars were able to continue the match and they finished it without any further issues. The bout was won by Wes Lee. Many people have sustained serious injuries with a similar botch and were put on the shelf for many months. Fortunately for Cedric Alexander, he won't have to stay away from in-ring competition.
