[WATCH] Kevin Owens' emotional moment with fan at recent WWE show goes viral
On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the tensions between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes escalated, hinting at a heel turn by The Prizefighter and a feud between these two shortly. In the main event, The Bloodline picked up another victory over the team of Owens and Randy Orton.
Initially, Cody Rhodes proposed the idea of a six-man tag team bout for the main event. However, Kevin Owen rejected the thought. He challenged Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu to a match against him and Orton. Following the match, Kevin and Rhodes had an altercation before Randy calmed things down.
Despite the Stamford-based promotion teasing Kevin Owens turning into a bad guy soon, a clip from the blue brand has gone viral where a cancer-diagnosed woman, Emily, attended the Friday Night Show with a poster that said, “I just keep fighting cancer to see KO.” Thankfully, the former Universal Champion spotted her in the crowd. The Prizefighter jumped the barricade, gave Emily a signed T-shirt of his, and hugged her, which drove her to tears.
Kevin Owens lost the title match against Cody Rhodes at Bash in Berlin 2024
Cody Rhodes offered Kevin Owens a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at Bash in Berlin 2024, and they wrestled a hard-hitting match. Even after a powerful performance, The Prizefighter was unable to find his ruthless self in the match, which eventually cost him his chance at becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion.
However, it looks like Owens is getting back to basics and can feel his older self. We have seen glimpses of Owens' heel version, with him about to turn his back on Rhodes, but every time he has stopped himself. The American Nightmare aligning with Roman Reigns for a match at Bad Blood 2024 has clearly affected the 40-year-old. Some fan theories suggest Randy Orton is the true mastermind behind all the tension between these two stars.
It will be interesting to see what direction the promotion has in store for Kevin Owens and when he will show his true colors to Cody Rhodes.
