[WATCH] Michael Cole makes an interesting comment aimed at CM Punk after he once again costs Drew McIntyre

At the 2024 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, CM Punk once again cost Drew McIntyre a chance to win the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE lead commentator Michael Cole addressed Punk by his real name after the latter assaulted McIntyre with a steel chair.

Cole's comments led to a brief exchange between him and Punk. The Second City Saint attempted to clarify his actions.

In the show's opening bout, McIntyre won the Men's Money in the Bank briefcase. However, he failed to successfully cash in his contract and dethrone Damian Priest after interfering in the latter's title match against Seth Rollins.

CM Punk's actions led to Priest once again retaining his title, similar to Clash at the Castle: Scotland.

The issues between Punk and McIntyre began several months ago after the latter injured the former WWE Champion. At WrestleMania XL, Punk cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship, allowing Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.

Fast forward to Clash at the Castle: Scotland, and CM Punk once again cost McIntyre the chance to regain the World Heavyweight Championship. This led to the Scotsman "quitting" the company, only for him to brutally attack Punk on an episode of SmackDown in Chicago. A match between Punk and McIntyre is expected to occur in the near future.
