[WATCH] Nia Jax breaks character behind-the-scenes with two WWE stars
Nia Jax has now been WWE Women's Champion for more than 100 days. The SmackDown heel recently made her third title defense, and is hoping to enter WrestleMania 41 Season as champion. Despite her aggressive style, at times Jax has been caught breaking character with others, or letting loose backstage. The latest video features the champion with a seasoned veteran and a rising superstar.
The Irresistible Force is widely regarded as a WWE heel, so rough around the edges that she barely has a friend in Tiffany Stratton. Natalya is currently a fan-favorite babyface superstar, but has been a strong heel at times in her legendary near-25-year career. Maxxine Dupri has seemingly found her stride as a bubbly babyface of Alpha Academy. These trio of stars have all locked up in the ring, but are real-life friends backstage.
WWE Superstars are known to take part in the latest viral social media challenges while trying to kill time behind the scenes at various events, as we saw today with The Judgment Day in a very embarrassing clip. Jax, Natalya, and Dupri took to X/Twitter today before RAW and participated in the viral "One Of Me Is Cute, But Two, Though?" trend, which stems from Sabrina Carpenter's "Juno" single.
"One of me is cute.. but two tho [winking face emoji] @maxxinedupri @LinaFanene," Natalya wrote with the video below.
The Queen of Harts and The Alpha Queen have only faced off in Battle Royals and Fatal Four-Way matches. Jax shared three Battle Royal rings with Dupri as well, but also defeated her at two non-televised live events last February. Jax and Natalya have worked more than thirty multi-woman matches since 2016, but Jax has won both of their singles matches.
Nia Jax to defend WWE Women's Championship
Nia Jax is set to make her third defense of the WWE Women's Championship. Jax dethroned Bayley at SummerSlam on August 3, and since then, her televised title matches include a Street Fight win over Mia Yim and the Bad Blood win over Bayley.
On this Friday's live episode of SmackDown from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Jax will defend her title against Naomi. The Glow Superstar has recent singles wins over Candice LeRae and Tiffany Stratton, plus a non-title victory over Jax.
SmackDown will also feature The Motor City Machine Guns defending the WWE Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits in a first time-ever match. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin remain undefeated, and last won a non-title match over A-Town Down Under on last week's SmackDown, just two weeks after winning the titles from The Bloodline.
