[WATCH] Old clip emerges of Jacob Fatu breaking character and apologizing to WWE official multiple times during a major match
Jacob Fatu might be the most ruthless man in WWE right now, but behind the scenes, he might be one of the kindest human beings. An old image from Money in the Bank from this year resurfaced, showing him breaking character and apologizing to an official.
At Money in the Bank 2024 in Toronto, Fatu made his highly anticipated premium live event debut as he teamed up with Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga to knock off the trio of Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. Jacob made all the difference as Solo pinned the Undisputed WWE Champion to set up a SummerSlam main event.
One spot in the match saw Cody Rhodes topple Fatu over the barricade. The video below shows the impact of his legs crashing into a WWE official, and Jacob apologized numerous times while the cameras were off him, breaking character in the process.
It seems to align with Fatu's good reputation outside of the ring.
Jacob Fatu was absolved of a recent controversy in real-life
The Samoan Werewolf and enforcer of The New Bloodline found himself in some personal trouble recently, although things have since been cleared.
It was reported that Jacob Fatu had taken money, precisely $2,633 for a charity event by a Non-Profit Organization named Jake's Network of Hope, and didn't show up nor return the money.
It seemed to be enough of a story for WWE to investigate it. However, Fatu has since apologized to the organization, which initially stated that a meaningful dialogue had been started, but the money hadn't been returned.
The NPO then stated that it was Fightful, revealing that the repayment had been made months ago, but they had missed it. They went on to wish him success in his journey with WWE.
