[Watch] Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill break silence following WWE WarGames announcement

WWE has officially announced the Women's WarGames Match for the Survivor Series Premium Live Event. At the upcoming show, the team of Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, IYO SKY, and Naomi will face the team of Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae in the much-awaited gimmick bout.

On the most recent edition of Monday Night RAW, which was taped last week, The Eradicator returned from injury to align herself with the babyfaces for the upcoming premium live event. With all the other women standing inside the ring, Ripley entered the squared circle and screamed "WarGames" before headbutting Liv Morgan. The babyfaces cleared the ring and stood tall in the show's opening segment.

WWE recently posted a video of Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Rhea Ripley heading to the back after taking out Liv Morgan and her team. The three women looked into the camera and expressed their excitement for WarGames.

Former WWE writer shares honest opinion about Rhea Ripley return segment

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo criticized the wrestling promotion for the opening segment of the latest edition of Monday Night RAW despite Rhea Ripley's return from injury.

On the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo stated that he was not impressed with the build-up to the WarGames. The veteran added he was tired of repeated tropes leading to the announcement of the gimmick match.

"Everybody and their grandma were out there to have a big brawl to lead into freaking WarGames. This is the exact way I think, was it SmackDown that ended this way? Bro, I am so tired of the repeat, the repeat, the repeat. They already played this. They're trying to get this WarGames booking in a matter of two weeks. So just put all the girls out there and have them brawl. It's the simplest way to do that," he said. [From 44:19 onwards]

Next week on Monday Night RAW, WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax will take on one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions, Bianca Belair, in a singles contest, with the winner earning their team the advantage in the Women's WarGames match. It remains to be seen which team will enter the five vs. five contest with the advantage on their side.
