[WATCH] Roman Reigns acknowledged by LA Lakers during their huge win in NBA playoffs
Roman Reigns might not be the Undisputed WWE Champion anymore, but he's still The Tribal Chief. The LA Lakers recently acknowledged Reigns during their win in the 2024 NBA playoffs.
The Head of the Table cemented himself as the most dominant champion of this generation by holding the World Championship for 1,316 days. He has also gained mainstream popularity despite being a bad guy on WWE television.
In the video below, the Lakers played The Tribal Chief's entrance theme in the fourth quarter of their Playoffs Round Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers were up by 11 points with three minutes left in the game when the music was played.
The LA Lakers ended up winning the game 119-108 to snap their 11-game losing streak versus the Denver Nuggets. It was their first win against the defending NBA champions since December 16, 2022. The Lakers remain in a 1-3 hole despite the victory.
It was also not the first time the Lakers acknowledged Roman Reigns by playing his theme song during a game at Crypto.com Arena. It happened back on March 10 against the Minnesota Timberwolves and resulted in a win.
Roman Reigns was not part of the 2024 WWE Draft
Roman Reigns withdrew his name from the 2024 WWE Draft as he remains sidelined for an indefinite amount of time. The remaining members of The Bloodline; Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Paul Heyman, were eventually picked by SmackDown last Friday.
The current iteration of The Bloodline will be in action at Backlash France in a tag-team match against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. It's an important matchup for The Bloodline because of what happened at WrestleMania XL.
Sikoa will also try to end his losing streak, which has fans questioning his motive for kicking out Jimmy Uso from The Bloodline. The Tribal Heir has not won a match since beating John Cena in last year's Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
As for Reigns, he's currently away from WWE to film a heist movie called "Good Fortune." Other stars rumored to be in the film are Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen, Sandra Oh, Aziz Ansari, and Keke Palmer.
