WATCH: Roman Reigns' heartfelt interaction with Alex Pereira on WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown was a stacked episode as Roman Reigns reunited with the former Honorary Uce, Sami Zayn. Meanwhile, The Original Tribal Chief met the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Alex Pereira, and Reigns had nothing but love and respect for the champion.

In 2020, the world was shut down, but sports was one of the forms of entertainment that made the audience forget about the bleak situation across the globe. Later, Roman Reigns returned to WWE and ascended to the top of the card as The Tribal Chief alongside Paul Heyman.

Former UFC Middleweight Champion and the current Light Heavyweight Champion, Alex Pereira, met Roman Reigns on Friday Night SmackDown. The two also exchanged merchandise, but The Original Tribal Chief had an important yet heartfelt message for the champion.

"Big fan. I appreciate your body of work. We started watching in the Pandemic right when he started. To be able to watch the journey. To have entertainment during a tough time. We entertain people. We put on a show for people. I know he does that too, but it was a huge form of entertainment for me and my family watching you fight when we're all stuck at home. So, I just want to say thank you, man. Hell of a run so far, and we're excited for what you're going to do in the future, man," Reigns said.

Roman Reigns set to compete in his second WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series

In 2022, Triple H's regime took over WWE and changed the landscape of the weekly product. The Game brought several new and old concepts from NXT to the main roster in the months that followed.

This marked WarGames' first appearance in the company for RAW and SmackDown. The match replaced the traditional 5-on-5 Elimination Tag Team match from Survivor Series.

Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre created a team on Friday Night SmackDown to go head-to-head against The Bloodline. Later, Kevin Owens returned to the brand and became the final member.

In the end, Roman Reigns' Bloodline left the structure with a victory. Unfortunately, The Original Tribal Chief skipped the event in Chicago last year. However, he's seemingly heading to Canada with the band to take on Solo Sikoa's Bloodline.
