Sam Roberts predicted Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes to cross paths at WrestleMania 41
Sam Roberts believes Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes could headline another WrestleMania. The two superstars have already featured in the main events of WrestleMania 39 and WrestleMania XL.
Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts predicted the possibility of the two long-term rivals crossing paths once again on The Grandest Stage of Them All. He said:
"For the first time, we have a rivalry [Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns] between two top talents in WWE that could main event three WrestleManias and not only be the first to main event three WrestleManias but do it in a row."
Following Rhodes' victory over Reigns at WrestleMania XL, he successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Championship on numerous occasions. He also reignited his rivalry with The Bloodline, even successfully defending his title twice against Solo Sikoa.
After Rhodes' victory over Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match, he was ambushed by The Bloodline. This led to Reigns' return, as The Original Tribal Chief took the fight to Sikoa and his stablemates.
The two long-term rivals have agreed to put their issues aside to fight a common enemy in the form of The Bloodline.
