Watch: Seth Rollins and Damian Priest share heartwarming moment before the Money in the Bank cash-in at WrestleMania XL
WWE Superstar Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL. Fellow RAW Superstar Seth Rollins, who entered The Showcase of The Immortals as the champion, had a heartwarming moment with the then-Judgment Day member backstage moments before the cash-in.
The Visionary faced Drew McIntyre in a championship match on Night 2 at the Grandest Stage of Them All. The Scottish Warrior had an impressive showing and dethroned Rollins to become the new champion. Unfortunately, his joy was cut short by CM Punk, who was on commentary for the title match.
The Second City Saint attacked the newly crowned champion, which allowed The Archer of Infamy to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on a vulnerable Drew McIntyre. Damian Priest held the title for 118 days before losing it to Gunther at SummerSlam.
The latest episode of WWE 24 focuses on Priest's journey in professional wrestling. It also features a clip of him sharing a heartwarming moment with Seth Rollins backstage while waiting for his cue to make his way out and cash in his contract. The two superstars hugged, and the former champion said:
"I told you it was all going to be worth it, baby. Biggest moment of your life. I'm so happy for you. Enjoy," he said.
Damian Priest and Seth Rollins were attacked on WWE RAW
On the most recent edition of Monday Night RAW, Damian Priest and Seth Rollins were both attacked in two separate segments.
Damian Priest locked horns in a singles match with former stablemate JD McDonagh. The contest ended in a DQ after the rest of The Judgment Day members came out and started attacking Priest. The 41-year-old tried hard to fight back, but the numbers advantage proved too much.
Fortunately for Priest, however, Rhea Ripley came out to make the save. She attacked Liv Morgan while The Archer of Infamy nailed McDonagh with a South of Heaven Chokeslam, and the babyfaces stood tall.
Elsewhere on the show, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre continued their three-way rivalry. After a heated exchange, The Best in The World went chasing after The Sottish Warrior, who was in the crowd. As Rollins was left alone inside the squared circle, former NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed appeared from nowhere and decimated The Visionary.
The 35-year-old repeatedly hit the former Shield member with the Tsunami, and officials had to intervene. It was later revealed that Rollins was taken to a local medical facility.
