"We're legends" - 2-time WWE champions claim to bring "generational excellence" to the ring
WWE is no short of top-tier talent, and a top tag team recently sent a warning to their opponent. The tag team is a veteran of the industry.
The latest edition of NXT saw The O.C. members Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Michin, defeat O.T.M.’s Lucien Price, Bronca Nima, and Jaida Parker. The win was a welcome change for Michin of The O.C., with the group suffering disappointing losses in the last year.
Following their win, the faction opened up in an NXT Exclusive. The Good Brothers were ecstatic, and Karl Anderson stated that they were legends.
"We told the world, Michin, the Big LG, the ‘Machine Gun’ Karl Anderson, The OC, we were coming to NXT to show the world what real tag teams are. We are real, true-blue homegrown NXT talent, and we showed the world exactly why we’re legends," Anderson said.
Luke Gallows added that The O.C. was generational excellence. He added that the trio were NXT Originals and doing the best possible job on the faction.
"O.T.M., you’re some heavy-handed brothers with a heavy-handed sister stacked on top. But let me tell you this, you’re looking at generational excellence. Every continent that has professional wrestling, we have dominated, and tonight was no different. Especially as NXT Originals," Gallows said. [H/T Fightful]
The win will help the faction get closer to the NXT Tag Team Championship. It could also push Michin back in the Women’s North American Championship picture if she continues to pick up some more wins.
WWE has used The O.C. sporadically on the main roster
Many fans believe that Michin has worked hard enough in WWE to get at least a title run sooner rather than later. The star is only seen sporadically on the main roster, specifically on SmackDown, where she was drafted this year. Her last appearance was on the July 12 edition of the show where she lost to Nia Jax.
Before that, the star was in action on the June 21 edition of SmackDown where she lost in a Triple Threat match to Chelsea Green. The bout also had Bianca Belair.
Meanwhile, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have won tag team titles all over the world. However, they have failed to capitalize on their stardom in WWE. The stars were last seen on the July 12 edition of SmackDown, after being missing in action on the main roster for almost a month.
The OC hasn’t done much in WWE, especially without AJ Styles by their side. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the stable both in NXT and on the main roster.
