"We're the new gods" - Top WWE star acknowledges Solo Sikoa's work against The OG Bloodline
Solo Sikoa's Bloodline gained prominence on WWE SmackDown when the old faction was nowhere to be seen. Recently, Bronson Reed acknowledged Solo Sikoa and his work to eradicate the faction's previous iteration for a major reason.
Earlier this month, Bronson Reed shocked the world when he stood next to Jacob Fatu and took out The OG Bloodline with the villainous faction on Friday Night SmackDown. The Colossal announced his participation in the upcoming men's WarGames match and acknowledged Solo Sikoa.
In an interview on WWE's LA Previa, the 36-year-old star acknowledged Solo Sikoa's work against Roman Reigns' faction on the blue brand. Moreover, he claimed they're the new gods in the promotion and will shine by taking out the old gods, including CM Punk, who've had their time in the spotlight.
"I've got a lot of respect for Solo Sikoa. I go back with Jacob Fatu. I've known him for quite a while. Same as Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, before WWE, I knew these guys. I believe in what Solo's trying to do. I think Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and now CM Punk; these are the old gods of WWE."
He added:
"They've had their time to shine. They've been in the main event. They've been champions. Now, it's time for guys like myself, Solo, Jacob, Tonga Loa, and Tama Tonga. We're the new gods of WWE, and it's time for us to shine. That's what we're going to prove when we get in WarGames," Reed said. (From 02:53 onwards)
Solo Sikoa's Bloodline got the advantage heading into WWE Survivor Series: WarGames
Earlier this month, Bronson Reed joined Solo Sikoa's faction for the upcoming gimmick match in Canada. Later, Paul Heyman returned to television for the first time in months following a vicious attack by the heel stable.
However, he didn't return alone, as he came with CM Punk, who agreed to aid The OG Bloodline against Sikoa's group. This led to a one-on-one match between Jey Uso and Jacob Fatu to gain the advantage at the event in Canada.
Unfortunately, Main Event Jey couldn't get the job done against The Samoan Werewolf and lost cleanly to him in the ring after an impaler DDT and a moonsault in the main event of Friday Night SmackDown.
