Wes Lee attacks 36-year-old star after turning heel; sets his sights on the NXT Championship 

On the latest episode of WWE NXT, Wes Lee attacked TNA wrestler Joe Hendry after the latter's in-ring segment with Ethan Page. It seems like he wants to go for the coveted NXT Championship.

The Kardiac Kid shockingly turned heel last week after he and Zachary Wentz unsuccessfully challenged Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the tag titles. He dropped Trey Miguel with a Superkick and nailed Wentz with a low blow. He betrayed The Rascalz, and it was very unexpected, as evidenced by the crowd's reaction.

On this week's episode of WWE NXT, Ethan Page was confronted by TNA's Joe Hendry, who revealed that he has his sights set on the prestigious title. All Ego left the ring after Hendry and the fans started singing they believed in Joe Hendry. Wes Lee then blindsided Hendry and had a staredown with Ethan Page.

All Ego successfully defended his title against Oro Mensah, and more superstars already have their eyes on his prize. Wes Lee is a former NXT North American and tag team champion. However, he has never held the NXT World Title before. It'll be interesting to see who will be Ethan Page's next challenger for the most prestigious title on the brand.
