"What a run" - WWE name says farewell before RAW; he will be leaving for months after last show

A WWE name decided to say goodbye before RAW. It will be his last show for months as he's leaving.

This will be the last night that Pat McAfee is a part of a WWE RAW show for a long time as he will be stepping away to be part of ESPN's College GameDay again. The same thing happened previously, with the commentator stepping away from his position for months for College GameDay and not being a part of RAW.

He returned this year at the Royal Rumble event before it was announced that he was returning to be a part of the show full-time again.

Before WWE RAW this week, McAfee shared a picture with Michael Cole. The two of them have become really good friends over the years, with Cole visibly enjoying his time with McAfee, and the two sharing laughs while doing their job.

In the caption, McAfee said, "What a run," clearly saying farewell before leaving RAW for months. He's expected to be back again in January, given his involvement in the last two years at the Royal Rumble. Fans will have to wait to see if that happens again.

Check out McAfee's tweet below:

Earlier this year, it was announced that Michael Cole would be temporarily moving to SmackDown in September. With both the commentators removed, Joe Tessitore will be stepping in, and it remains to be seen who joins him on the show.
