What will make Dominik Mysterio a WWE main eventer disclosed by wrestling veteran (Exclusive)
Dominik Mysterio competed in a high-stakes match this week and lost. However, former WWE writer Vince Russo is certain that The Judgment Day member is a future main eventer in the making.
While being the son of Rey Mysterio is certainly an advantage, Dominik has truly come into his own as one of the most despised heels in WWE. The 27-year-old star has developed his in-ring work at a phenomenal pace and has been involved in some memorable television moments over the past few years.
'Dirty' Dom has also won a few titles along the way but has yet to establish himself as a serious prospect for the world championship. He wrestled for a number one contender's spot on the latest episode of RAW and was the superstar Damian Priest pinned to win the multi-man contest.
The Archer of Infamy would now face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title. Meanwhile, Dominik might have to wait a little longer to secure a shot at the gold.
While discussing the match on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo was positive that Dominik would become a main event star for WWE. Russo felt "time" would make 'Dirty' Dom a bona fide world champion and was eager to see how his career would pan out.
"Yeah, bro, because he is still very, very young. I think age. I think age is going to make him a main eventer. He is still very young." [From 41:38 onwards]
Vince Russo also agreed that Dominik might need a character change before he embarks on a main event run.
"Yeah [a complete character transformation]. Definitely, yes [a good babyface run being at the end of this run]." [From 41:52 onwards]
Dominik Mysterio is already over as a WWE Superstar, and sharing the ring with veterans would only make him a more credible pro wrestler. There might still be a long way to go, but Dominik is seemingly on the path toward main event stardom.
