William Regal confirmed to return after 9 months; set to be in 31-year-old WWE star's corner
William Regal is set to make his return after nine months. He will be in a new role this time.
Ever since his NXT debut, Lexis King has made a career out of doing whatever it takes to pick up wins. He has cheated his way through many of his matches, which didn't help him win over many people.
However, in recent weeks, he has been trying to prove that he is a changed man and he is not like his father, Brian Pillman. But he is having a hard time getting people to believe him. He even competed against Oro Mensah in a Gentleman's Duel match. Following the match, he even raised Mensah's hand which surprised his opponent.
Next week on NXT, Lexis King will face Charlie Dempsey in an NXT Heritage Cup match. The only problem is that he needs a cornerman, but he has no friends in NXT.
Tonight at Halloween Havoc, he was interviewed backstage when he admitted that he has been struggling to find a cornerman for his NXT Heritage Cup match. He mentioned that people have been ghosting him. Just then, William Regal agreed to be his cornerman next week on NXT. Regal said that he appreciates King trying to be his own man.
This will be Regal's first appearance on NXT TV since January 23, 2024, when he congratulated Ava on becoming the youngest GM in WWE history.
It will be interesting to see if Lexis King will be able to win the NXT Heritage Cup with William Regal in his corner.
