WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio is renowned for his iconic luchador mask, which has been a defining feature of his wrestling career. However, his son, Dominik Mysterio, recently addressed what would make him feel better if given a choice between winning his first-ever world championship in the company or taking his father's mask off.
The Mysterios have been at odds since Dirty Dom turned on The Master of 619 two years ago to join forces with The Judgment Day. Rey has two wins over Dominik Mysterio in singles matches, while the former WWE NXT North American Champion finally pinned his "deadbeat dad" when he teamed up with Liv Morgan in a Mixed Tag Team Match in an episode of RAW in July 2024.
In an interview on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, The Latino Cheat was asked to choose between winning his first WWE World Championship or capturing Rey Mysterio's iconic mask.
"I help my deadbeat dad win the title, and then I beat the f**k out of him, and then I take the mask and the title," Dominik said. [From 02:49 to 02:58]

Dominik Mysterio shares he is disappointed in WWE legend Rey Mysterio
During the same interaction with Adrian Hernandez, Dirty Dom took massive shots at his father. The Judgment Day member stated that he was disappointed in Rey Mysterio.
Dominik Mysterio was asked if he would be interested in teaming up with his WWE Hall of Famer father, similar to the father-son duo of LeBron and Bronny James. The former NXT North American Champion claimed he was superior to his father and was ready to take the Mysterio name to new heights.
"I mean, it does and doesn't because I'm so much better than him. I understand, and I truly know my worth and my value. So, I know that he didn't really bring much to the table anymore. He's old; he's washed; kick him to the curb. We've got to move on. That's what I'm doing here; I'm trying to take the Mysterio name to the next level," Dominik said.
It remains to be seen whether the strained relationship between Rey Mysterio and Dominik will ever be mended.
