Wrestling legend addresses claims about The Bloodline stealing gimmick from popular WWE faction

Wrestling veteran Konnan recently addressed rumors about The Bloodline stealing their gimmick from The Hurt Business. The Samoan faction is part of the SmackDown roster currently.

The stable was in shambles after WrestleMania XL when Roman Reigns lost his title to Cody Rhodes. However, Solo Sikoa picked up the reins and made his family dominant again. He added new members in the form of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, increasing the strength of the group.

On a recent episode of Keepin' IT 100, the veteran expressed confusion over how WWE booked The Hurt Business. He claimed Bobby Lashley and MVP were great in their roles and the creative shouldn't have disbanded the faction. However, Konnan didn't see any reason to believe that The Bloodline was modeled after The Hurt Business.

"Well yeah, I don't know why they stopped The Hurt Business. They was doing great. Lashley was going great. Why did they disappear him? MVP was great. I did not like Omos, I don't think he was in The Hurt Business but MVP was his manager. I liked The Hurt Business. I do not know how The Bloodline stole their gimmick. I don't see the connection there. Yeah, that's what I think." [From 01:07 to 01:30]

The Bloodline asserted their dominance on SmackDown

It was an amazing night for The Bloodline this week. During the start of SmackDown, Solo Sikoa informed General Manager Nick Aldis that although Tonga Loa was not cleared to complete, Jacob Fatu would compete in his place and the faction would not give up their spot in The Tag Team Gauntlet Match.

The faction showed full domination during The Gauntlet Match as they crushed the Street Profits for the win.

The duo will now compete against #DIY next week on SmackDown for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Solo Sikoa on the other hand is going to SummerSlam to face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
