Wrestling legend thinks WWE won't let Jey Uso make a surprising change because of Bloodline story (Exclusive)

Jey Uso is in an interesting position as a singles star. He seems to have the popularity that most WWE stars don't, but something is missing for him to bridge the gap between his current status and becoming a world champion. A wrestling legend thinks that the company won't let him make a major change because of possible plans involving The Bloodline.

On the latest episode of The Wrestling Time Machine, host Mac Davis spoke to the legendary Bill Apter and WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long. The main topic of discussion was the tease of Jey Uso's possible romantic storyline with Rhea Ripley.

When Bill Apter was asked about Rikishi's criticism of the potential romantic angle, the legend said it was his opinion. But for Apter, the idea of Jey Uso going to NXT was much more interesting than a romance story.

"Well, that's his [Rikishi's] feeling. I kind of took some time to think about the situation. [If] They don't have a spot for "Yeet" [Jey Uso], one of the great things they've done with some of the talents is making them NXT into a higher profile because NXT is growing, growing, and growing. For a few shows, until they can come up with a good wrestling program for Jey Uso, I think it'd be great to bring him to NXT, which is not a step down whatsoever."

Apter, however, didn't think such a change would happen because he expected an original Bloodline reunion between The Usos and Roman Reigns.

"However, I think somehow [what will happen] is that he and his brother [Jimmy Uso] are going to get together with Roman Reigns and become the original Bloodline again. They need to find something for that in-between and I think going to NXT would be better than the whole love thing. I don't know, regarding his marriage - he's playing a character. People know that his brother is married to Naomi but they don't really know who Jey is married to." (1:07 - 2:30)

Jey Uso teased running it back with the original Bloodline

There's no doubt that the original Bloodline line-up of Jey and Jimmy Uso with Roman Reigns created magic during their time together. Solo Sikoa was an important addition too, but he now runs the new Bloodline.

On The Ringer Wrestling Show, Jey Uso expressed his desire to see the original Bloodline reunite for another run.

"The cool part is I'm so excited to see what happens. You know, I want to see how all these pieces come back together and see what kind of magic we can recreate for round two," Jey said. [From 11:02 to 11:15]

Many are anticipating this angle to unfold in the coming months. It remains to be seen whether it will actually materialize.
