Wrestling veteran claims WWE has made "zero mistakes" with Gunther so far
Gunther could soon win his first World Championship in WWE when he faces Damian Priest at SummerSlam. Whether he wins or loses, Freddie Prinze Jr. feels WWE has been spot-on with the Austrian star's booking.
As the King of the Ring, Gunther was granted a World Title match at SummerSlam, and during the build of his feud with Damian Priest, The Ring General has managed to impress everyone with his promo skills.
Freddie Prinze Jr. reserved special praise for Gunther and, while speaking on his podcast, noted how the former NXT star had quickly upped his game on the mic. Since being called up to the main roster, Prinze Jr. believed WWE had not made a single error in the presentation of the Imperium leader:
"Gunther is the freakin' man and has grown on the mic so much, so quickly. I feel like everything they have done with this dude is dead on. Like, zero mistakes so far with Gunther, zero mistakes." [From 06:31 to 06:47]
Gunther and Damian Priest traded words ahead of their match, and according to Freddie Prinze Jr., the booking was much better than Damian's storyline with Seth Rollins, where the former seemed to have been giving away matches for free:
"I like the way they have built this up much more than the Seth Rollins-Damian Priest stuff because I thought Damian came off looking like the s*cker in some of these promos. Like he was giving away matches for free." [From 07:26 to 07:39]

Freddie Prinze Jr. would love to see Gunther and Damian Priest have an extended WWE feud
Damian Priest has surprised everybody by being a formidable World Champion, but many predict SummerSlam will be the platform where WWE hands Gunther the coveted belt.
Freddie Prinze Jr. feared that Priest and Gunther might not cross paths after Summerslam, though he hoped their feud would go beyond the PLE. A back-and-forth involving the towering superstars was on Prinze's wishlist, as he added:
"I love this match-up, but I hate that it's going to end at SummerSlam. I hope it doesn't, I think it will, and I really hope they continue it. I would love to see these guys go back and forth." [From 07:55 to 08:04]
While Gunther might be favored to win at SummerSlam, Damian Priest's splendid track record as champion could entice WWE to book an unexpected finish in the World Heavyweight Championship Match.
