Wrestling veteran claims WWE needs to find a way to book Rhea Ripley on RAW (Exclusive)
Veteran wrestling writer Vince Russo feels WWE should find a way to book Rhea Ripley on RAW despite her injury.
The Eradicator was brutally attacked by Liv Morgan a couple of weeks ago on RAW. She suffered an injury during the attack and had to relinquish her title during last week's episode. Rhea also informed fans that she would be out for a few months.
This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo recalled when he was writing during the Attitude Era, he would find ways to book top stars like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin despite them being hurt. He felt WWE needed to book Rhea on the show and not have her wrestle.
"Bro, back in the Attitude Era, if somebody got hurt, they were still on the show. They just wouldn't wrestle. We did that all the time. If Austin would get hurt or The Rock, I would say, 'Okay, they're gonna be on the show, we'll write them on the show. They're just not gonna wrestle.' Rhea Ripley is a huge star. Why can't they write for her without having her wrestle? I don't understand this... Why isn't she on the show now? She's got her arm in a sling, she can't get on an airplane?" [26:24 onwards]
This week, WWE organized a Battle Royal to crown the new Women's World Champion. Becky Lynch won the match and became the new title holder.
It will be interesting to see if Lynch can hold on to the gold till the time Rhea Ripley returns. This could lead to a WrestleMania rematch between the two stars.
