Wrestling veteran comments on 33-year-old star's future in WWE under Triple H's regime

Some stars were rehired by Triple H's new WWE regime for a second run when Vince McMahon stepped down. Recently, Konnan commented on Chelsea Green's future in the promotion after Money in the Bank in Toronto.

Chelsea Green received her big break in the Stamford-based promotion as she went through tables in the closing moments of the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match in Toronto. She was moments away from winning the coveted briefcase before Tiffany Stratton won the match.

Speaking on Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, Konnan, and Disco Inferno discussed Chelsea Green's future as a fan mail pointed out the build towards Money in the Bank in Toronto. Konnan believes the 33-year-old might be pushed later as the management is focused on pushing Tiffany Stratton.

"I think that Chelsea kinda got pigeon-holed into a mid-carder. Sometimes it takes a while to get out of there, and maybe Stratton came in and did phenomenal debut numbers. She [Tiffany Stratton] was already a star in NXT and maybe they've some metrics that we're not privy to where it goes, 'Hey if we push this girl right now coming in, we got something here.' They'll get Chelsea [Green] later on," Konnan said. (From 00:47 to 01:13)

Chelsea Green has never held a singles title in WWE

With the aspiration of becoming a WWE Superstar, Chelsea Green participated in Tough Enough's sixth season. After getting eliminated, she spent years in the independent circuit and made a name for herself in TNA and Lucha Underground.

In 2018, she signed the dotted line by joining the Stamford-based promotion under Vince McMahon's regime and went to NXT under Triple H's leadership. Sadly, she spent most of her time away from weekly television on the main roster due to an injury.

After only one match on Friday Night SmackDown, she was released from WWE in 2021 and returned to the independent circuit. Last year, she was rehired under Triple H's new regime. Chelsea Green recently said she wants to bring back the Divas Championship.

However, she hasn't won a singles title in the promotion. Last year, she captured the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Sonya Deville before Piper Niven became her partner in crime.
