Wrestling veteran details why Chad Gable shouldn't have competed on WWE RAW this week (Exclusive)
WWE star Chad Gable has tapped into his dark side of late. The Alpha Academy leader is a full-blown heel currently in pursuit of the Intercontinental Championship.
This week on RAW, Master Gable walked out to face Sami Zayn in a singles match. However, he took a moment to berate his pupils, Maxxine Dupri, Akira Tozawa, and Otis, calling them all failures. Even during the match, when they didn't help him, Gable was irate and asked Dupri and Tozawa to leave the arena.
This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Sportskeeda senior editor Bill Apter claimed he was enjoying Chad Gable's heel run. However, he felt that the Alpha Academy leader should not have been in a match this week on RAW as it took away some of the shine from his character.
"I think the Chad Gable thing, I love what they're doing with him. However, I would not have put him in a match tonight against Sami Zayn because it takes some of the luster away from the upcoming PLE. Maxxine wouldn't help, Tozawa wouldn't help and we didn't think Otis was gonna help. But he did and he felt bad about it. So, Sami Zayn loses with interference."
He continued:
"They did not say it was a non-title match by the way if I remember correctly. They used to say this is a non-title match and you expected the champion to lose. As I said at the start of the sentence, it takes a little of the luster out." [36:15 onwards]

After some help from a hesitant Otis, Chad Gable managed to pick up a huge win over Sami Zayn.
It will be interesting to see if Master Gable can pin the Intercontinental Champion in the triple threat match in Jeddah to finally win the prestigious title.
