Wrestling veteran details what went wrong with Ronda Rousey's WWE run

Ronda Rousey's WWE run ended on a high note when she put Shayna Baszler over at The Biggest Party of The Summer in Michigan in 2023. However, many questioned her overall run, and Konnan detailed what went wrong with the star in the Stamford-based company.

Ronda Rousey's second run with WWE was panned by critics and veterans alike for a while. The Baddest Woman on the Planet nearly achieved every major milestone in the Stamford-based promotion before leaving the company after SummerSlam 2023.

Speaking on Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, Konnan responded to a fan mail that asked why Ronda Rousey has been firing shots at the promotion. The WCW veteran didn't know the answer but explained why The Baddest Woman on the Planet's run failed to impress the audience.

"The more layers you peeled off, the more you saw what she really was. I think she went in there entitled and yeah WWE is stressful, bro. It's not for everybody. There's a lot of competition. There's haters. You've to look a certain way, you've to act a certain way, you've to dress a certain way, it's their own ecosystem (...) It's very very very stressful just like it was for us," Konnan said. (From 1:28 to 1:53)

Ronda Rousey embarked on a new journey post-WWE release

Last year, Ronda Rousey was the talk of the town, as she left the Stamford-based promotion following her last match at The Biggest Party of The Summer in Detroit against Shayna Baszler. The former UFC star remained silent for a few months before she appeared on the independent circuit.

The former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion appeared at Lucha VaVoom and Ring Of Honor (ROH) but didn't sign with All Elite Wrestling. Earlier this year, the former RAW Women's Champion announced her upcoming debut in the world of graphic novels with Expecting The Unexpected.

The star also credited Paul Heyman for his support, which allowed her to pursue a new genre. Currently, there's no official release date announced by The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
