Wrestling veteran gives his personal take on Vince McMahon's real-life personality (Exclusive)

The Netflix Documentary about Vince McMahon, simply titled "Mr. McMahon", looks like it's going to be one of the most highly-anticipated documentaries that the streaming giant has put out in a while. Wrestling veteran Bill Apter gave his take on McMahon's real-life personality.

This week on The Wrestling Time Machine, host Mac Davis asked Bill Apter and former SmackDown General Manager and WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long about their thoughts on the McMahon documentary on Netflix.

According to Bill Apter, Vince McMahon is one of the most complex individuals he has ever known and also one of the world's most unpredictable characters. He expects the Netflix documentary to be "pretty dirty":

"There are so many different facets to his [Vince McMahon's] personality, to his life, to his business. One of the most complex individuals that I've ever seen, known and heard about. He was and still is, probably, one of the most unpredictable characters there is in the world and to look at a documentary exploring the many minds of Vince McMahon is pretty fascinating. It's going to be pretty dirty too, I think." (1:48-2:29)

Bill Apter thinks the allegations against Vince McMahon have become Netflix's hook for the documentary promotion

According to Bill Apter, the Janel Grant allegations may have benefited Netflix in a big way as they were already making the documentary. In his eyes, it gave them a hook to sell it to the masses:

"I hate to say this, but because of what's going on in McMahon's life at this point, it's almost like clickbait. It's like the hook to come and watch this, where before this happened, it might have been, "it's a documentary about [Vince] McMahon". But people love dirt." (3:12-3:36)

Apter also reiterated Wrestlenomics' report that Janel Grant wasn't interviewed for the documentary. Netflix reached out to her but nothing came of it. Recent reports have suggested that WWE wants to completely wash themselves of McMahon and John Laurinaitis.
