Wrestling veteran goes off on a "rant" about Kevin Owens; claims his win devalued WWE stars (Exclusive)

Veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter recently spoke about Kevin Owens' performance on SmackDown. The Prizefighter was in a Triple-Threat Match this week on the blue brand.

Owens caught up with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory backstage on SmackDown last night. The star got into a heated verbal battle with A-Town Down Under and suggested they face each other in a triple-threat bout.

During this week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Apter claimed in his "positive rant" that Owens was an exceptional talent. He pointed out that KO's style looked legit and believable to the fans. However, the veteran journalist felt that Kevin's incredible win somehow came at the expense of younger stars like Theory and Waller.

"My rant is a positive rant. Kevin Owens is just incredible. It looks like this guy is shooting. It looks like this guy is doing everything for real. His punches, everything, it was so right there, right on. But it devalued [Waller and Theory.]" [From 19:07 to 19:46]

Kevin Owens didn't have too much time to celebrate his win as A-Town Down Under attacked him in the aftermath of the encounter.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was not happy with how the events transpired and announced that Theory and Waller will face Owens and a partner of his choosing next week on SmackDown in a Tag Team Match.
