Wrestling veteran points out major flaw in Damage CTRL's booking on WWE RAW

Damage CTRL received a new life in WWE when the likes of Asuka and Kairi Sane joined the fray. Meanwhile, Konnan addressed the faction's booking and pointed out a major flaw.

Last month, the trio of Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, and Kairi Sane, aka Damage CTRL turned face for the first time together in their career when they laid out Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark. However, the turn came out of nowhere and Konnan pointed out something interesting.

Speaking on Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, the veteran pointed out that there were no indications of a face turn for the faction upon their return to WWE. He also pointed out the storyline was abrupt with Damage CTRL compared to the other ongoing stories in the Stamford-based company:

"I would like to know when Damage CTRL turned face. I mean they explained everything else so well, but not this," Konnan said. (From 11:13 to 11:19)

The veteran's point holds value as Dakota Kai previously teased a different direction as a star away from the group.

Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai will be out of action for a while from WWE TV

Earlier this year, Dakota Kai returned to in-ring competition in the Stamford-based promotion heading into WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia. The star played a crucial role in the ongoing story between IYO SKY and Bayley on the Blue brand.

Eventually, Kai sided with the WWE Women's Champion and betrayed The Role Model. After competing at The Showcase of Immortals in Philadelphia against Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi, the faction was drafted to Monday Night RAW.

Recently, Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark attacked the group in a backstage segment. During the brawl, the trio seemingly injured Kai and she was written off television as an active competitor.

In reality, Dakota Kai is suffering from an injury. The angle was done to write her off and WWE acknowledged it by addressing it on a recent edition of Monday Night RAW. She'll be out of action for eight to ten weeks.
