Wrestling veteran shares bold prediction for CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins (Exclusive)
CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins has been officially announced for RAW's premiere on Netflix. The match was confirmed by RAW GM Adam Pearce after both men got into a physical altercation this past Monday on the red brand. As of this writing, it isn't confirmed if this feud will lead all the way up to WrestleMania 41.
Speaking on a recent edition of Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, Bill Apter said he could see the feud culminating in a gimmick match of some sort at WrestleMania. The veteran journalist predicted that the upcoming CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins match on RAW would probably feature lots of physicality and not be a traditional wrestling match per se.
"It's gonna be the first but not last time. It's gonna last several months. I assume that it will wind up in a cage match. I don't know what they're gonna do in the first match, but it can't be a wrestling match with holds and headlocks. It's gotta be a real brawl and hell of a lot of policy or security guards pulling (them apart) etc." [From 08:50 onwards]
Both CM Punk and Seth Rollins are no strangers to competing in cage matches. The Voice of the Voiceless capped off his feud with Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood 2024. Both superstars were left bruised and battered, with McIntyre needing multiple stitches to close off his lacerations.
Speaking of McIntyre, the Scottish Warrior was involved in a brawl with Sami Zayn this past Monday on RAW after beating him at Saturday Night's Main Event. It remains to be seen where the feud goes next.
