WWE accidentally spoils possible return of 2-time Universal Champion three months in advance

Triple H is a smart man when it comes to mapping out creative. However, it looks like WWE has accidentally spoiled the potential return of two-time Universal Champion, Seth Rollins.

The Visionary has been absent from TV since being taken out by BIG Bronson Reed on the RAW after SummerSlam. Seth 'Freakin' Rollins had a rough outing that night, as he received six Tsunamis from the Australian star, causing internal injuries.

Shortly after the angle, the 38-year-old Superstar was replaced by the current Intercontinental Champion, Bron Breakker, on the official RAW banner. WWE later confirmed that Rollins would be out of action for the foreseeable future.

That may no longer be the case. The Stamford-based promotion is currently advertising Seth Rollins for the December 2 edition of RAW, which would be the fallout episode from Survivor Series: WarGames.

Who could Seth Rollins target on his WWE return?

Since BIG Bronson Reed put him out of commission, it only makes sense if Seth Rollins goes after the Australian Superstar upon his return.

However, a feud with CM Punk cannot be completely ruled out. The Architect was set to ignite a feud with The Second City Saint before he was ambushed by Reed.

Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts said that Seth Rollins could return at the end of Survivor Series: WarGames to confront CM Punk.

"I think Gunther can beat Punk clean, but it'd be one of the best matches of Punk's career. They can shake hands; Gunther can leave; Punk gets a standing ovation, and Seth's music hits. I think Seth comes back at the end of the night and does the exact same thing that Punk did to Seth [last year], and maybe Punk can react in a similar way, not cursing, not because he knows, but Punk just has that look in his eyes like, 'I know what you're doing,"' Roberts said.

Roberts also said that it would be great if Rollins returned to being a full-fledged heel in the impending program with Punk.

"It'd be great if you could try to have Seth be a heel to Punk," he added.

Notably, CM Punk delivered the GTS to Special Guest Referee Seth Rollins in his match against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam.

A feud between the two stalwarts has been brewing since the day the Chicago native returned to the Stamford-based promotion. Will Triple H pull the trigger on this rivalry after Survivor Series: WarGames this year? Only time will tell!
