WWE acknowledging controversial claim about Nia Jax has affected her SummerSlam match, veteran says (Exclusive)
The build towards SummerSlam 2024 continued on SmackDown, with Nia Jax and Bayley involved in a split-screen promo segment. Bayley accused Jax of being clumsy and reckless inside the ring, and Dutch Mantell liked that WWE acknowledged the botches.
Ever since she became a force to be reckoned with in WWE, Nia Jax has faced criticism online for being a dangerous worker. Multiple stars, including Bayley, have been on the receiving end of Nia Jax's unnecessarily stiff shots, and she has unwantedly developed a reputation of being unsafe in the ring, at least that's what many on the internet think.
During this week's SmackDown, Bayley called out Nia Jax for legitimately injuring her in the past, and Dutch Mantell stated that WWE's creative team had made an excellent decision by including this angle.
Mantell and his Smack Talk co-host SP3 agreed that the latest segment between Bayley and Nia Jax had positively impacted their feud, and there was now more hype for the SummerSlam showdown.
"You know what I like about that because that's what the internet said about her. She is big, she is strong, she is dangerous. Once you repeated it back to her, people said, 'Oh, now she is being told.' So they know she is being told that. I would actually like to see that match for SummerSlam." [From 40:38 to 40:57]

SP3 suggested a finish where Women's Money in the Bank holder Tiffany Stratton cashes in the contract during Bayley and Jax's match to pull off a massive title heist.
Dutch Mantell loved the idea as it expanded the entire story and gave WWE more options to work with.
"That's a good finish. Now, all those problems that Tiffany is having with Nia come together. Now, they have a three-way going for a while, and they branch off. Very good. I like that finish." [From 41:55 to 42:12]
Bayley and Nia Jax are heading for a rather heated battle at SummerSlam. At this point, the match isn't just about The Role Model retaining her belt but making the challenger pay for the alleged recklessness inside the squared circle.
