WWE News: WWE asks fans if they're interested in Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg 3

Are you interested in seeing through a trilogy?

WWE put up a poll on their website WWE.com asking fans if they would like to see Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar 3. The two options are:

  1. “Yes. I want to see what an angry Brock Lesnar does in response to his loss at Survivor Series.”
  2. “No. Goldberg won their first two matches, there is nothing else to prove”.

As of this moment, the first option is narrowly leading the polls 51%-49%. It appears that there is quite a polarising opinion on the future of the Goldberg-Lesnar feud, especially due to the manner in which their match ended at Survivor Series.

The end of the Survivor Series match made it clear that their rehashed feud is not over in any shape or form, especially given that Goldberg announced his entry to the Royal Rumble just one day after squashing Lesnar.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that Lesnar has been penciled in to be part of the Royal Rumble match as well, meaning that Goldberg and Brock Lesnar’s paths will cross once again at the Alamodome.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter had also stated after Survivor Series that the two would be fighting ‘more than just once’. Perhaps the reason why WWE are asking fans on social media is to see or predict what the possible response could be to a third match between them.

If the continuation of the feud is played out how it was in 2004, where Lesnar cost Goldberg the Royal Rumble match, then there is a higher chance of fan backlash. Here is a clip of Lesnar costing Goldberg the Rumble match in 2004:

Goldberg is said to be on a similar deal to Brock Lesnar, being heavily compensated per appearance.

While it is not known what his future in WWE holds after Wrestlemania 33, Meltzer has reported that Goldberg is willing to wrestle part time if he’s paid what he was at Survivor Series, and likely what he is going to get paid to be a part of the Royal Rumble..
