WWE has to book Liv Morgan to defeat Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam for one major reason, says veteran

Rhea Ripley will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship this Saturday at WWE SummerSlam. A wrestling veteran believes the company must keep the title on the 30-year-old for a significant reason.

The Eradicator and the former Riott Squad member have been feuding for months. After Ripley injured Morgan in a storyline, the latter returned to get her revenge. She legitimately injured The Judgment Day member in a backstage segment, causing her to relinquish the Women's World Championship and take a few months off. During Ripley's absence, Morgan captured the title and attempted to steal Mami's on-screen boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio. However, Dirty Dom recently rejected her after his on-screen girlfriend returned to RAW a few weeks ago.

Speaking on The Last Word, wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman disclosed that he believes Morgan should retain the Women's World Championship at SummerSlam. He claimed the New Jersey native needs the title more than Ripley booking-wise:

"To me, there are certain people, Tommy, that don't need a title. There are certain people that are just great characters and they can hold their own without giving them the championship. I think Rhea Ripley is one of those. So, she doesn't have the title, I don't think less of her. But for Liv to have the title, I think more of her. So, I agree with you, I would love to leave the title on her," he said. [3:49 - 4:10]

Will Rhea Ripley leave The Judgment Day if she loses at WWE SummerSlam?

Rhea Ripley has been a major player in The Judgment Day for nearly two years. However, former WWE host Matt Camp thinks she could leave the heel group after SummerSlam as she turns into a babyface.

Speaking on his The Wrestling Matt podcast, the former WWE host claimed The Eradicator and Damian Priest, who will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther at SummerSlam, could end their time with The Judgment Day if they leave the premium live event without the titles:

"Maybe both Priest and Rhea realize at the end of SummerSlam if they both don't walk out with championships that their time has come to an end in Judgment Day. And maybe you really see them both get launched as babyfaces," he said.

Jonathan Coachman's co-host, former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci, previously pointed out that while many think Dominik Mysterio could betray his Mami at SummerSlam, Finn Balor could be the one conspiring with the Women's World Champion. It would be interesting to see if Morgan would walk out of The Biggest Party of the Summer with the title and whether that would affect Ripley's future in The Judgment Day.
