WWE brilliantly executed The Usos' emotional moment on SmackDown, claims renowned wrestling personality (Exclusive)
Sportskeeda senior editor and wrestling journalist Bill Apter spoke about Jey Uso hugging Jimmy Uso on WWE SmackDown. The Usos reunited in a brotherly embrace during this week's show.
Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline were defending the WWE Tag Team Championship this week against the Motor City Machine Guns. However, the likes of Jimmy Uso, Roman Reigns, and even Jey Uso showed up during the match to ensure that the Tongan brothers did not retain the titles. Jey Uso was out for revenge after The Bloodline cost him the Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night RAW.
With the referee down, he attacked Loa and Tonga, allowing Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley to hit their vicious Skull and Bones maneuver and become new Tag Team Champions.
This week after SmackDown, Apter claimed the creative team brilliantly captured the emotional moment. He pointed out that the reunion of the two brothers hugging it out in the ring was brilliantly executed, with Roman watching from the entranceway.
"The Uso hug was fantastic," Apter said.
With this week's episode, WWE has created the foundation for a major feud heading into Survivor Series 2024.
It will be interesting to see if Jey Uso's addition will be enough for Roman and Jimmy to take down Solo Sikoa and the rest of his entourage.
