WWE does not care for Chad Gable, legend gives reason

Chad Gable was the first to announce on live television that WWE has opened the transfer window ahead of the show's exclusive move to Netflix. On that night, he wrestled SmackDown's Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, in a losing effort.

Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette feels both athletes gave their best, and it was a wonderful bout, but added that Triple H & Co. has messed up with Gable yet again. Earlier this year, he had a remarkable feud with Sami Zayn over the Intercontinental Championship. Despite a solid re-introduction a few months back, as the tag team specialist became the leader of the new faction, American Made, Chad has not been featured much since his feud with Uncle Howdy culminated.

Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette stated that Chad Gable is a "great worker," but without good material, the 38-year-old seems to have lost a lot of momentum as the year draws to a close. The veteran speculated that WWE is doing good business right now, so they do not care for Gable as much as they should:

"This is honestly, I mean, they're both professionals [Cody Rhodes and Chad Gable]. Gable's a great worker, but, Ric Flair vs. George South for 15 minutes would have been good too on TBS but they never did that! Because Gable has been presented as—they tried for a minute to make him serious but he's back into goof category. But [WWE are] so hot right now they don't need to do anything else," Jim Cornette said. [From 1:10 to 1:34]

What Triple H had to say about Chad Gable re-signing with WWE in 2024

Chad Gable's program with Sami Zayn revitalized him as a character, predominantly due to his heel turn and subsequent pursuit of the IC Title, no matter the casualties. In the process, he discarded his stable Alpha Academy.

While a feud between him and Otis was something fans hoped to see, WWE did not go through with it and left it, seemingly for a later date. Whether things go in that direction bears watching. Instead, Gable went on to form American Made with the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile.

During the Clash at the Castle post-show press conference in June, Triple H opened up about Gable. He expressed joy that the Olympian has re-signed with WWE, and added that it would have made him really sad if the 38-year-old had left for another company. The Chief Content Officer hopes Chad Gable stays in World Wrestling Entertainment forever.
