WWE champion reacts to wholesome moment with Tottenham's Big Ange

WWE Superstars are often seen sharing special moments or enjoying the matches of other sporting events. Notably, a current champion recently chose to hang out with Tottenham Hotspurs’ Head Coach Ange Postecoglou ahead of SummerSlam. Interestingly, the 43-year-old superstar reacted to a wholesome moment he shared with Big Ange during his meet.

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh recently re-acquired the WWE Tag Team Championship for Judgment Day after the faction lost it at WrestleMania. While the heel faction is currently dealing with the Liv Morgan crisis, the tag champs took some time to meet Hotspurs’ Ange. Interestingly, Balor shared a tweet on X and reacted to a wise thing said by the coach.

“JD: ‘Would you like to hold the belts in the pic?’ ."

The Spurs head coach had the perfect reply to the question.

"ANGE : ‘Nah mate, that’s yours, you gotta earn nice things!’ GOOSEBUMPS @jd_mcdonagh @SpursOfficial,” wrote Balor.

Both the champions could be seen smiling in the camera holding their titles while Big Ange had his arms around them. While JD and Balor got a dose of wisdom from Ange, another unit of stars had a fun interaction with Manchester City FC.

Manchester City FC players train alongside WWE stars

WWE is currently collaborating with Manchester City FC for a new merchandise collection project. Interestingly, apart from giving fans new merch, Man City stars participated in some pro wrestling training at the WWE Performance Center. A total of five players from the English football club, including Kalvin Phillips and Rico Lewis joined the training.

The Man City players trained alongside NXT Women’s Champ Roxanne Perez, NXT North American Champ Oba Femi, Thea Hail, Stevie Turner, and Trick Williams. The players and the wrestlers also donned promotional merch while training.

Interestingly, this was yet another collaborative project between the Stamford-based promotion and Manchester City. It would be interesting to see what the eight-time Premier League Champions come up with in their next partnership with the company.
