WWE champion taunts CM Punk after NXT goes off-air
CM Punk appeared on the latest edition of WWE NXT to take part in a few segments. The Best in the World expected a great response from some young talent but got something else.
Punk came out on NXT and talked about the roster that WWE was building for the future. He praised Giulia before NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez showed up. The Prodigy stayed true to her heel character and tore down the former WWE Champion with her words. She stated that she wished she was a Drew McIntyre fan, rubbing salt into Punk’s wounds.
Following the show, Roxanne Perez continued to take shots at both Giulia and CM Punk. She posted a photo of the segment and accompanied it by saying that she would be the best in the world come October 1.
"October 1st, I’ll be the best in the world. Tell me when I’m telling lies @cmpunk," she wrote.

Punk has been called The Best in the World for over a decade. The 22-year-old did well to taunt the RAW Superstar once again and stayed true to her heel character throughout.
CM Punk will continue to get involved in WWE NXT
The Best in the World is advertised for the season premiere of NXT on CW Network on October 1, 2024. WWE fans were unsure what CM Punk would do at the show.
The latest edition of NXT confirmed the RAW Superstar’s role for the upcoming show. He will serve as the Special Guest Referee for the contest between Ethan Page and Trick Williams for the NXT Championship.
Page signed the contract for the match reluctantly after Williams wasted no time to do so. However, the real flair was added after the two men were done making things official. Punk’s involvement will make the contest much more interesting, to say the least.
It will be the second time that CM Punk will officiate a match ever since his WWE return. He was the special referee in the contest involving Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle 2024 where he low-blowed the latter to cost him the match.
Additionally, fans could see The Scottish Warrior make an appearance during the show and attack his Bad Blood opponent. His appearance would make NXT’s CW Network premiere even more special.
Additionally, the distractions could allow Ethan Page to take advantage and retain his title for a longer run as he has been doing well as a heel champion on the brand.
