WWE confirms 36-year-old star is injured on RAW; out for 8-10 weeks
Michael Cole delivered some unfortunate news during tonight's episode of WWE RAW. Following reports about a potential injury, it has now been confirmed that Dakota Kai will be out of action for a while.
The Damage CTRL member has suffered a torn meniscus and will require surgery. Kai is expected to be out for 8 to 10 weeks after being written off on last week's episode of RAW. She was attacked backstage by the trio now known as the Pure Fusion Collective.
This is particularly heartbreaking, as Dakota Kai has had a plethora of knee injuries during her career. She returned to the ring following a torn ACL earlier this year. It remains to be seen, though, if the Damage CTRL member will return to RAW before she is cleared to wrestle.
Kai was back on WWE television two months following her previous injury, so it isn't out of the question that the same will happen again. The New Zealander can accompany IYO SKY and Kairi Sane, especially if they become the Women's Tag Team Champions.
However, Dakota Kai wouldn't be able to wrestle until mid-October, at the earliest. Her last match was at the July 27 WWE Live Event in Tokyo, Japan, alongside SKY against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
Sportskeeda Wrestling wishes Dakota Kai a speedy recovery and, hopefully, she can return to the ring better than ever.
