WWE confirms RAW star is injured and will be out of action; referee involvement was stopped during his match
WWE has been dealing with injuries to multiple prominent names, such as CM Punk and Charlotte Flair. The injury bug has struck the company once again as Michael Cole confirmed on RAW that Tyler Bate will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
The 27-year-old star made his main roster debut earlier this year as he reunited with Pete Dunne on SmackDown. The duo, dubbed the New Catch Republic, were drafted to RAW during the 2024 Draft. However, due to a lack of creative plans for them on the red brand, they often competed on NXT.
Bate and Dunne recently took on The Hank and Tank connection in a tag team match on WWE's third brand. While the New Catch Republic was able to take home the victory, Tyler Bate seemingly injured his arm during the match, and Dunne had to stop the referee from raising his partner's hand as a caution.
Michael Cole confirmed the injury on WWE RAW last night when Pete Dunne made his entrance for his match against Bronson Reed. The commentator noted that Bate would be out of action for "a bit" after the incident.
Pete Dunne came face-to-face with another former partner on WWE RAW
While Pete Dunne's current partner, Tyler Bate, may be out of action for a while, the Bruiserweight came across another former ally on RAW.
Dunne was in action on the red brand, where he suffered a loss to Bronson Reed. However, the victory was not enough for the powerhouse, as he continued to attack Dunne after the match. Sheamus then came out to make the save for his former Brawling Brutes stablemate. However, Pete was in no mood for a reunion as he walked away from the Celtic Warrior.
Pete Dunne, Sheamus, and Ridge Holland were part of the Brawling Brutes faction on SmackDown. However, the group fell apart after the Celtic Warrior was sidelined due to an injury. Ultimately, Holland also walked out on Dunne, leaving him alone until Tyler Bate reunited with him.
