WWE confirms top star has suffered "horrific injury," receives urgent "medical attention"

WWE has shared a grim update on a major up-and-coming star suffering a "horrific injury" after a brutal attack. Je'Von Evans suffered the wrath of Ethan Page on this week's episode of NXT, who lost his cool and unleashed a shocking beatdown.

Page delivered an emotional promo on the Tuesday night show, where he opened up about his recent string of losses and how he had lost his passion for wrestling. Evans soon came out and tried to convince Ethan Page to shed his evil persona. However, the former NXT Champion sank further into darkness, as he lost his cool and began assaulting the 20-year-old star in front of a stunned crowd.

Page stood tall as Je'Von Evans received help from medical personnel after the heinous chair attack that left him coughing blood. Now, WWE has shared backstage footage of the rising star receiving medical attention and confirmed that he had indeed suffered a "horrific injury" at the hands of Ethan Page.

Swerve Strickland is rooting for Je'Von Evans' success in WWE

A few weeks back in an interview, Swerve Strickland opened up about seeing Je'Von Evans climb up the ladder in the wrestling business. The AEW star also praised Evans' match against Randy Orton from back in October and added that he was rooting for his long-term success in the Stamford-based promotion.

“I love Je’von Evans, shout out to you . . . Je’von, extremely talented. One of the greatest things I’ve ever heard in my career, still to this day, when I was on my 90 days, I was doing seminars, Je’von was like 16/17 years old, and it was like 20 kids. . . I go to Je’von and you could tell that he was the standout of the class . . . He’s like honestly I got into wrestling from watching you vs. Lio Rush in DEFY. So I’m 'Wow am I that far removed?'”

Going by the events on this week's NXT, it's safe to assume the creative team has planned a heated feud between Ethan Page and Je'Von Evans for 2025.
