WWE executive recalls "incredible" moment featuring Linda and Vince McMahon: "They were into everything"

Over the years, WWE has produced massive shows that have thoroughly entertained fans. A current Executive Director recently talked about the two loudest crowds he’s witnessed in history.

WrestleMania has a special place in wrestling fans' hearts thanks to the incredible atmosphere and the sheer magnitude of the event. Over the past forty years fans have been enthralled and captivated, dejected and elated, with careers coming to an end, new reigns starting, and new stars rising to the spotlight. Bruce Prichard, who has been with WWE for several years, has appeared at several 'Mania events, but thinks that the crowd at two such events was “absolutely incredible.”

On a recent episode of his Something To Wrestle podcast, Prichard recalled the greatest crowd reactions he was a part of in the company. He first spoke about the WrestleMania X-Seven in 2001 which was held in Houston, Texas.

"I go back to WrestleMania 17, I thought that the Houston crowd was absolutely incredible all night long. The pop when Linda McMahon stood up out of the wheelchair [during the Vince McMahon vs. Shane McMahon match] it was just deafening. They were into everything we did."

The WWE Executive Director added that the following WrestleMania that hosted the Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock match in Toronto, Canada was also incredible.

"Listening to the crowd in Toronto with Hogan and Rock, the crowd wanted Hulk Hogan, they wanted their guy, they wanted the red and yellow, they didn’t want this Hollywood BS," Prichard said.

Formerly known as Brother Love in WWE, Prichard also worked with The Undertaker as his manager for some time. He has remained an integral part of the Stamford-based wrestling promotion for many years.

WWE could host a massive WrestleMania 41 event

Earlier this year, WWE hosted one of the biggest WrestleMania events of all time. Fans got to witness the return of The Rock in the ring, while The Undertaker and John Cena also showed up for memorable cameos.

The upcoming WrestleMania could be even more spectacular, especially if The Rock returns for another match and takes on Roman Reigns this time around. The booking will be massive as the company fell short of booking the contest at WrestleMania XL.
