WWE files to trademark major star's name after his seemingly accidental title win

WWE has filed to trademark a top superstar's name. The name in question is none other than Ethan Page, who is the current NXT Champion.

Ethan Page's contract with AEW ended earlier this year, after which he made his way to World Wrestling Entertainment. Page rose through the ranks pretty quickly and is now the NXT Champion.

His seemingly accidental win at NXT Heatwave caused debate among fans on social media. The final moments of the bout saw Trick Williams hitting a Trick Shot on Page, who fell on an unconscious Je'Von Evans, thus securing the pin.

WWE has now filed to trademark the name "Ethan Page." You can check out the description below:

Ethan Page on leaving AEW and signing with WWE

Ethan Page recently spoke about leaving AEW and joining the Triple H-led company during his appearance on Talk'n Shop.

He didn't mince his words while describing AEW as a chaotic and unorganized place.

"I went from somewhere that was so chaotic and unorganized to a place that, I mean, I’m still learning because I’m still so new here, but this is a machine, and it’s incredible. It feels good to not feel like I have to do everything myself. To have people that want to see me succeed is kind of mind-blowing," Page said.

Page then heaped big praise on NXT and called it a "machine." He further noted it felt good not to feel like he needed to do everything himself. He added that having people around him who want to see him do well is mind-blowing.

Ethan Page seemingly made the right decision based on his current standing on the NXT roster.

Do you see him as a future world champion on WWE's main roster?
