WWE Hall of Famer details challenges for Seth Rollins when he returns after injury
Seth Rollins’ world turned upside down after he officiated the match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam 2024. The former Universal Champion is currently out with an injury, and a WWE Hall of Famer believes his return won’t be so easy. That would be Mark Henry.
Rollins was looking to get into a rivalry with Punk following the latter’s loss at SummerSlam 2024. Instead, the Best in the World decided to continue his rivalry with Drew McIntyre.
Meanwhile, Bronson Reed took advantage of the situation and attacked Seth Rollins. The Auszilla injured Seth after delivering six Tsunamis to the former World Heavyweight Champion.
On a recent edition of the Busted Open Radio podcast, Mark Henry noted that the rivalry with Rollins will be the former NXT North American Champion’s ticket to the top of the RAW roster. However, he noted that things will not be easy for The Visionary once he returns from injury.
"I thought Bronson Reed reached that level where now people expect him to do more. The company is investing in a very big spot for him. When Seth comes back, they're gonna be rolling. It's never gonna stop. You need to do it tactfully and skillfully and trick him into being where you want him to be, and that's gonna be the entertainment," Mark Henry said.
Henry added that there was no rivalry between the big men and smaller guys on the main roster. He also mentioned that the rivalry with Seth Rollins will help "Big" Bronson Reed get a massive push.
"We need that because we don't have a big guy-small guy match in the world of WWE wrestling right now," Mark Henry explained. Bully Ray, his co-host, also agreed that the rivalry would help Reed get a push.
The Auszilla was initially scheduled to face The Visionary for the World Heavyweight Championship at Elimination Chamber: Perth. However, Reed stayed in the United States of America for the birth of his first child and skipped the match.
Seth Rollins suffered multiple injuries after Bronson Reed attacked him on WWE RAW
The fallout episode of WWE RAW after SummerSlam 2024 was a tough one for Seth Rollins. Bronson Reed’s attack left The Visionary bleeding from the mouth and he had to be taken to a nearby medical facility.
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce recently gave WWE fans an update about Rollins’ future. The 38-year-old star has sustained massive internal bruising and has also broken several ribs, according to Pearce.
The angle will help the creative team keep Seth out of action for a while and give Bronson Reed time to build himself before heading into a rivalry with Rollins. WWE fans will be waiting to see The Visionary return to exact revenge on the former NXT North American Champion.
