WWE Hall of Famer opens up about his interaction with The Rock's daughter Ava

A WWE Hall of Famer made an appearance on NXT last week. The veteran performer recently opened up about his interaction with the developmental brand's General Manager, Ava.

Former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam was featured in a backstage segment with Ava during the October 29 edition of NXT. Speaking to The Rock's daughter, the 53-year-old revealed he will be on the episode airing from the legendary 2300 Arena this Tuesday.

On his 1 Of A Kind with RVD podcast, the veteran performer was asked about his interaction with the NXT General Manager. Rob Van Dam stated that she was cool. The former WWE Grand Slam Champion added he also met a lot of stars, and everyone else was cool, too.

"She was cool. Everybody was cool. I was just kind of like an extra, popping in and being me, and they were all there, learning and doing. [...] I met everybody, [and] everyone was super cool. They all came up and go, 'Hi, I'm Veronica. Good to meet you," he said.

WWE legend Rob Van Dam reflects on his recent NXT experience

RVD further talked about his experience being at the show last week. He pointed out that the Performance Center looked different from his previous visit a decade ago.

The veteran added that he had a great experience as everyone was grateful to the legends. He also spoke about catching up with former WWE Superstars Bully Ray, Shawn Michaels, Terry Taylor, and William Regal.

“I’ve been there twice before, and it was a long time ago, ten years ago, and it did look a little different. They definitely had moved some stuff around, and if they had that many warehouses, then I didn’t realize it before, but a lot of that is theirs. It was really cool. It was just a good experience, everybody was grateful. Everyone’s happy and giving the legends a lot of love. So nothing terribly exciting, but also seeing a lot of my peers as well and Bubba Ray Dudley. He was standing in the ring when I walked in one time to that area, and I slid in behind him to surprise him, and his calfs almost exploded in my face. I texted him and told him that [laughs], but his calves were huge and veins popping out. Looks like he’s been doing some toe raises, so good job, Bubba. Saw Shawn Michaels, saw Terry Taylor, yes I did [see William Regal].” [H/T: SeScoops]

It remains to be seen what Rob Van Dam has in store as NXT heads over to the former ECW Arena in Philadephia, Pennsylvania.
