WWE Hall of Famer reveals surprising Vince McMahon decision about having "Yes" men near him (Exclusive)
A WWE Hall of Famer revealed Vince McMahon's surprising decision about having "Yes" men around him. The veteran in question, JBL, worked under Vince for several years.
JBL made a name for himself in WWE during the Attitude Era as one-half of the APA. After spending a few years in a tag team, he split with his partner, Ron Simmons, to pursue a solo career and found success by becoming a WWE Champion. During this time at the Stamford-based promotion, John "Bradshaw" Layfield witnessed many transitions and even worked with Vince.
During a recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's What were they thinking? with JBL and Gerald Brisco, JBL spoke about Vince's controversial Kiss My A** Club. He mentioned how wrestling always parodies life, which was the basis of the Kiss My A** Club since there is always such a club in the corporate world with people hanging around CEOs, and are known as their "Yes" men.
However, JBL mentioned that Vince did not like guys who were "Yes" men. He preferred to surround himself with guys who would contradict him. He figured that if he hated "Yes" men, the crowd would hate them, too, which helped him come up with the Kiss My A** Club.

Cherry details her experience with Vince McMahon
Following Janel Grant's lawsuit, several former WWE stars have shared their experiences with Vince McMahon. While most had negative experiences with the former chairman, one former star had nothing but nice things to say.
During an interview with the Wrestling Then and Now podcast, Cherry said that Vince was very sweet and nice to her.
"Vince was, shockingly, very sweet and nice. So, I was a little nervous about approaching him. So, in legends, I mean, he's a legend really, you know, to be able to have the guts to kinda knock on his door and go in and have a conversation, to have him so gracious too. And everybody's like, 'Oh, he's such a d*ck. He's so this, that, and the other.' Not to me and not to other people," she said.
Cherry's interview shows another side of Vince McMahon that perhaps most people have not seen during their time with the company.
