Former WWE star reveals Kurt Angle's dream retirement match

Kurt Angle's highly celebrated professional wrestling career had a controversial ending. He lost his retirement match to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. Many WWE fans disliked the former United States Champion as the veteran's last opponent.

On a recent edition of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 recalled his conversation with Angle about the latter's dream retirement match during his time in TNA. The 41-year-old revealed Kurt Angle mentioned John Cena as his last match would be the ideal scenario, considering The Cenation Leader made his WWE debut against him.

"Him going to the WWE, I think we all maybe wanted to see more. I really hope it wasn't previous like, 'I am gonna get you in the end, hahaha.' But if that's what Kurt thinks, I can't tell him, the man, how to think how to feel. I do know that I remember talking to him within the realm of TNA. I am like, how do you wanna go out? He's like, 'I think going out wrestling Cena, how he came in, would be my, like, the coolest way for me to go out.' Unfortunately, we didn't get to see it. I think he deserved it," he said.
