WWE Hall of Famer suggests the most humiliating way for Drew McIntyre to defeat CM Punk
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre III has been made official for WWE Bad Blood. Both men will lock horns once again, this time inside the unforgiving Hell in a Cell structure. The stars will try to put an end to their incredible storyline.
McIntyre and Punk have been embroiled in a blood feud since their brief encounter during the Royal Rumble match. Both stars have won one match apiece and will look to settle the scores once and for all once they step inside the heinous structure on October 5. While the WWE Universe is excited for a Hell in a Cell match between both men, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray thinks it is a bad idea. Rather, he wants an 'I Quit' match for their extremely personal rivalry.
During a recent episode of the Busted Open Podcast, the veteran suggested one of the most humiliating ways for Punk to lose would be to say "I quit" to Drew McIntyre. Ray, explaining a hypothetical scenario, suggested that if AJ Lee and Larry were present ringside and McIntyre got his hands on the latter and tried to snap his neck, Punk would be forced to say "I quit."
"What if AJ Lee was sitting in the front row with the dog, with Larry? Now, I know they're not going to do this, but in my world, I'd find a way to pull it off. Hold on—what if AJ Lee was sitting in the front row with the dog, and Drew McIntyre got his hands on the dog and was going to snap the dog's neck? You see the babyface saying, 'I quit,'" said Bully Ray [4:29 to 4:56]
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre III will be the end of their feud
While the scores between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are even for now, the Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood could give one of them the upper hand. With both Punk and McIntyre suggesting they wanted to move to the World Title picture, this could be the end of their feud, for now.
Punk already expressed his desire to put McIntyre behind him and go after the World Heavyweight Championship and its current holder - Gunther. However, the brutal attack from the Scotsman has led The Second City Saint into another match against the star.
On the other hand, once Seth Rollins returns and gets his hands on CM Punk, the Scottish Warrior getting involved once again is a massive possibility. Time will now tell what WWE has in store for the incredible storyline in the future.
