WWE Hall of Famers set to return for major new project
Several WWE Hall of Famers are reportedly set to appear in an upcoming major project. The promotion is currently building toward Saturday Night's Main Event next weekend.
Today the sports entertainment giant announced that a new competition show will debut on the A&E Network in early 2025. The show is titled "WWE LFG" (Legends & Future Greats) and will feature rising talent competing for a contract from the company.
Triple H and Shawn Michaels will appear on the show, and The Undertaker, Booker T, and Bubby Ray Dudley will be featured on the show as weekly coaches.
The promotion also introduced two new titles on the main roster recently. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis recently unveiled the Women's United States Championship, and the inaugural champion will be crowned at Saturday Night's Main Event next weekend.
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce subsequently revealed the Women's Intercontinental Championship and there is currently a tournament underway on the red brand to crown the first champion.
Former WWE star reflects on grueling tryout for the company
Former WWE star ZZ, real name Zamariah Loupe, recently discussed his tryout for the company in 2015.
ZZ appeared on the sixth season of the Tough Enough reality TV show and finished as the runner-up in the competition. In an interview on Developmentally Speaking, ZZ noted that he thought he was going to die while trying to earn a contract with the promotion.
He noted that he was very strong, but was not prepared for some of the physical conditioning the company asked of him.
"I thought I was gonna die. Man, I can pull a tree out of the ground. I could pick up a real big alligator. I could entertain the masses with my voice. But some of the things that they were doing in there with us for our physical conditioning and stuff, you couldn't prepare yourself for that." [15:05 – 15:27]
