Sunny is a WWE Hall of Famer

What's the story?

On April 8th, TMZ caught up with WWE Hall of Famer Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch to know about her recovery from drug addiction. Sytch revealed that she was now living in a sober house and that the WWE has been helping her out with the rent, which amounts up to 10,000 USD dollars per month.

In case you didn't know

Before returning to the city, Sytch spent four-and-a-half months in prison for violating her probation followed by a two-month stint in rehab.

Previously, Sytch had been charged for DUI’s, illegal use or removal of registered license plates, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without required financial responsibility, and much more.

She performed in promotions such as Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, Ring of Honor, WWE, WCW etc. Tammy was considered to be WWE’s first diva. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the entire WWE Divas roster in 2011.

The heart of the matter

Sytch, during the interview with TMZ, revealed that the WWE had been supportive of her in her recovery. She explained that they had been helping her through their Wellness Program.

Here’s what she had to say:

"Well, the WWE has always been super supportive with my recovery. With their Wellness Program they take care of your rehab expenses, if you don't have any insurance.”

In the interview, Sytch also advocated Chyna's induction into the Hall of Fame. She said that Chyna should've been inducted into the Hall of Fame years ago. Sytch said that they both were good friends and that she had invited her to join rehab with her.

What’s next?

Sytch said that she was taking every day one step at a time and was not going to rush anything in terms of her recovery.
