WWE issues serious statement on Kevin Owens after he brutalized Randy Orton on SmackDown
Last week on SmackDown, Kevin Owens unleashed a heinous attack on Randy Orton that left everyone in the crowd stunned. Now, the Stamford-based promotion has sent a stern message to KO, condemning his actions.
The former Universal Champion has been on a rampage ever since he turned to the dark side. Owens was slated to face Orton at Crown Jewel 2024, but their match never kicked off after they got into a brawl, ending it in a no-contest. Things took a turn for the worse between the two performers on the latest episode of SmackDown.
After Randy Orton called Kevin Owens out, the latter wasted no time in coming out and attacking him. KO even hit a Piledriver on The Viper, a move WWE had banned years ago. This left Orton severely injured and hospitalized.
WWE recently shared the footage of Randy Orton being stretchered out, with Nick Aldis and Cody Rhodes helping him out. The caption of the post was extremely critical of Kevin Owens' actions, saying he "should be ashamed of himself."

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton could go to war at WWE Survivor Series 2024
Going by how things have developed in recent weeks, it looks like WWE could be reserving a match between Owens and Orton for a marquee premium live event.
Though fans were disappointed that the scheduled contest between them never happened at Crown Jewel 2024, their brawl and the subsequent angle on SmackDown have only further intensified the rivalry. Considering Randy Orton recovers in time for Survivor Series later this month, it's safe to say a match between him and Kevin Owens would bring the house down in Vancouver.
Even if Orton doesn't make it to the premium live event, there's no doubt that WWE would not keep Owens out of the show. A potential clash with Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship is also a compelling direction to head into.
