WWE legend announces he's signed 5-year contract with the company after 12 years, minutes before RAW
A WWE legend is back in the fold of the company. The star announced it on social media just before RAW got underway.
Armando Estrada is a beloved name in the wrestling business for his work with Umaga. He was the star's manager and helped give voice to the destructive legend. He was always portrayed as a heel, but given his role in making Umaga appear even more fearsome, he was very successful. He was separated from Umaga in 2007, and after that, he appeared as a General Manager before being released.
He returned with different roles between 2010 and 2012 before being released again. Earlier this month, it was reported that the former manager was signing a contract with WWE. Now, Armando Estrada has confirmed the news. He took to social media just before RAW and announced that he had signed a five-year contract with the company.
"I'm happy to announce that I have signed a 5 year Legends/Nostalgia contract w/ @WWE for special appearances & merchandising, including action figures, video games, & more! Great to be back in the fold with them!" he wrote.
The nature of the contract is a Legends one, which means that he will have special appearances at times. Umaga's son, Zilla Fatu, is rumored to be heading to the company. Eventually, he may end up doing for the son what he did for the father if Triple H decides that's needed.
Armando Estrada could be involved with The Bloodline in WWE
Given his new contract, Armando Estrada might end up working with The Bloodline even without Zilla Fatu.
The star's connection with Umaga makes him the perfect person for Solo Sikoa to bring in for his version of the group. Given that he kicked out Paul Heyman, having a spokesperson could help the faction.
For the moment, though, that's not the case, but it could still happen. It depends on whether Triple H makes the decision.
